Description

Chambray skirt with contrast topstitching and buttons. The pattern is from Burda magazine October 2009 issue. I altered the pattern from a fly front skirt to a button extension. I have posted instructions for this on my blog at http://thesurlyseamstress.blogspot.com/2010/01/toughest-chambray-in-world.html

Material Notes

Nice skirt! Very similar to the Tulip skirt we posted about on Tessuti but not the same Sandrasews, the pattern on Tessuti is from Stitch magazine and is designed by Wiksten:http://wikstenmade.blogspot.com.

Great skirt. May have to try this pattern. I love the red top stitching.

How nice to find another sewing Sandra on BS. I love this skirt. I saw the Tessuti post also and have myself come into possession of lots of lovely chambray waiting for upcycling. This is just the thing for it.

Wow this is lovely. I have a pile of chambray I’ve been contemplating what to do with, I think this will be my inspiration!
