This dress was probably the most complex dress I have put together so far— but it was a dream to make (even with all those little pieces and all those buttons)! I wanted to wear a vintage inspired dress for my engagement photos, and (after no having any luck finding one I liked and could afford) decided to make one myself using fabric I had purchased a year and a half ago. I hurried through this in about a week, and was still fixing buttons the morning of my engagement shoot :) I think with black tights, this will also be a perfect dress to wear to Christmas parties this year!

Eek! I love this dress, I bought the pattern last year but still haven’t touched it! I don’t want to cut it because their packaging and paper is just too beautiful!

Take time and trace it out on to baking parchment. It’s well worth the effort.
