A variation of the metallic knit top in Burda Magazine Oct 08 114. This was more for a muslin but I wear it to work now because I really like the gathering in the front. I have a metallic copper snakeskin knit I plan to do now based on how this one worked. Really easy pattern as long as you mark all the dots! I just shortened the sleeves and added 4" to the hem. I also found that the V-neck is really too low for work or casual. I raised that about 2" when I was fitting it and because of the way its made its not a problem to adjust that late in construction.
el cheapo knit from Wal-mart $1 bin and a scrap of decorative ribbon that my grandmother had lying around in her sewing box. I love thrifty projects that don't look cheap!

Very cute!!! And isn’t it nice when you can make something that cheap and yet look fabulous in it?!

I like the gathering too. It’s a really flattering look.
