I took the BSC Perth Apron pattern, an amazing apron, and I turned it into an apron dress. I’ve wanted one for a while and I knew that it would be really easy once I found the perfect pattern.

Oh look at my little apron army, growing and growing ;) I love the buttons you added and those big pockets, I’ve never thought to turn it into a dress but it’s super cute! xx

Great idea, and I love the colour too. Added to my to-do list!

Nice idea… and I agree with Friedi: would like to see better your alterations (if not instructions, ehm…). Feel like copying it at once!

Thank you, I’m glad that you like it. I do have instructions for this dress here http://sunshinelollipops.weebly.com/apron-dress.html
Hopefully, it will give you general idea of what I did. If a few more people are interested I will probably post it here but I’m short on computer time right now.

Did you add a zipper/buttons at the back or simply lengthened the pattern at the sides? I like that very much!

I lengthened the pattern at the sides and added elastic to close up back. I did do a little tutorial for it on my very humble website. I’m new to altering patterns so the instructions may not be the best. It will be enough to give you an idea. Thanks for the support.
