Castle Quilt for a little boy

This is a twin size quilt for my son’s bed. I bought the pattern online from a website called cluckclucksew.com. It’s called the Busy Kid pattern. She has some pretty cool stuff. This was a learning experience for me. It’s my first quilt so I had to post it somewhere (If you don’t count the small wall hanging I made in highschool…it was a while ago). It’s not perfect but I’m happy with it, and my son loves it so that makes it all worth it!

What a wonderful quilt!!! And your son looks so happy with it!!! I have made a couple of small quilts but really need the motivation to make a few larger ones. My daughter’s fabric has been cut for over a year now. Maybe I need to teach her how to quilt…lol. Happy Sewing!

Thanks!! I can’t wait to teach my daughter how to sew…but she’s only 2 right now. I think that’s a great idea :).

I have a 2 year old granddaughter and she has been asking to sew…lol. She sits on my lap when I am sewing sometimes, it is so sweet. My daughter is 30 and is really enjoying sewing with me. She is actually making all of her Christmas gifts this year and is really doing a wonderful job at the sewing machine. Have fun teaching your daughter, maybe it is time to get one of those childrens machines for her to start soon. Happy Sewing!
