My grandmother gave me a cashmere scarf/shawl thing that was very nice, but too large to wear as is. I used it as yardage to make the capelet from Butterick 5032. It was a nice easy introduction to outerwear, although even as I was working on it I was itching to make it more tailored. I’m not so much a fan of the bottom of the collar wanting to flip out all the time, but other than that I really love this capelet. It’s surprisingly warm for being sleeveless.
