One of my co-workers is going off to college, so I thought I’d whip up something to take along with on her new exciting journey. I still have so much left over curtain fabric, so I thought this would be perfect. The lining fabric was a remnant from my grandma, who tried sewing 50 years ago and bought a TON of fabric and then gave up and never made anything with it. This is a pretty sweet gift (in my opinion) and it was totally free on my end (even better). I squared off the corners so she could fit books easily inside. I hope she likes it!

Great fabric (you’re so lucky to have so much fabric!) and the lining is HOT! I bet your co-worker loved it too :)

This is cool! The combination of fabrics is very classy but eye-catching all the same! Like the simple shape without extra straps, always hate to make them…

Thanks! The pink looked really great with the black and white. It was hard to hand over to someone else…haha
