I did use a pattern, but I modified it around the neckline. I think it was a New Look Pattern #6882, dress A. The pattern calls for a cinched ruffle around the neckline. I didn’t like it. I wanted to make it an easy on, easy off summer time dress. I love the way it turned out. I’ve made several in this exact patter. I used elastic in the neckline intead of the ruffle. Once you take a look at the pattern you may nderstand what I’m trying to say a little better – I don’t know how to describe exactly what i did as I’m new to sewing)

I love this – the fabric is gorgeous. Did you use a pattern? I think I will try and make something similar for my daughters.
