The fabric was really strange on this dress. It has very loose weave like a linen and then patches of solid silk flower pattern.
The dress is a simple tank style, but its loosely fitted. I wanted it to fall outside of the body line or move around the body.
The cropped jacket buttons in the back and at the sleeve cuffs. The jacket is fully lined in a rich red silk and the buttons are leather.
I decided to use a french seam, but zig-zagged over the raw edge of the first go, then completing the french seam (encasing a strong zig-zag inside of the french seam).
