Description

This was an outfit I created for a competition for ball jointed dolls (theme was fairy tales). I looked at lots of photos of pirate outfits but found that there really wasn’t any particular outfit that I liked. So I designed the outfit by taking the things that I DID like about some costumes and putting them altogether. My husband made the hook for the doll and voila! Captain Hook’s persona came to life! (I also did a Peter Pan outfit and a Tinkerbell. Making Tink’s wig was a pain because the doll was soooooooo small!) Captain Hook is about 25 inches tall. Oh…..and we took first place! Yay!

Tinkerbelle’s wings were made from wire and fabric from a pair of child’s sheer white stockings. The wire was shaped and the stocking fabric was stretch over each wing shape and then tightly knotted.
