Description

Earlier in the summer, I made a pair of capris. They were awesome for summer, but somehow I never quite got around to hemming the bottom.

Now it’s almost September and soon I will have very little use for capris. So I decided to make them into full-length jeans for the winter. I just made rectangles, put a top-stitched “seam” on the inside, and sewed them to the bottom of the existing jeans. Simple!

Such a good idea! I must try it. Do you think using another fabric will look good with that?

I think as long as it looks intentional it’ll look fine… like when people used to put panels in the side-seams to make straight jeans into flares :)
