I decided to sew my graduation dress out of this beautiful and extremely colourful fabric that I had found at Spotlight. I wanted a plain and simple pattern with no frills or bows, therefore settled on one by New Look, pattern number 6910 (Dress C).
Have a look at the pictures and let me know what you think. I was extremely proud of both my dress and of graduating that day, and think this is one of my best projects yet!
- 2.5 Metres of a silk-type fabric (patterned) – I required the extra length, not for the dress itself but for the use of its pattern blocks
- 22" zipper
- hook and eye
- 1m lining
Hit the city streets in adventurous looks with utilitarian details like cargo pockets and belts.
Twists on feminine classics, like a bold patterned shift dress and pants with a racing stripe.
