Cotton/Lycra summer dress. It has a raw hem…only because I was too lazy to actually hem it and moreover, I was short on fabric sooooo this dress was too short to hem as it is :)
It has a side zipper and I basically modified the Burda Franzi vest pattern 9302 for the top and the bottom is just a gathered skirt with in seam pockets.
Less than 2 yards of Cotton/Lycra fabric, an invisable zipper and some peach colored bias tape for the back of the neck and arms.
Me and Micahel Levine for the $1 per yard fabric

I am always so inspired by sewers like you who can translate a basic pattern into something with a completely different mood and style, while just retaining a bit of the original fit. Very cute!

I love it! It looks gorgeous and the colors are adorable!
I know how you feel about the hem… a couple of times I have used the selvage so that I wouldn’t have to sew the hem.
