This is a cute 1975 pattern (Style 1429) that I picked up at the charity shop for just 20p! Daughter no2 chose the short sleeve version and I found this ex-Paul Smith stripe stretch cotton in my stash. It was just as well Daughter no2 had chosen the short sleeved version, as there wasn’t much of this stripe left. I couldn’t match the stripes at the shoulders and ended up cutting the collar with, rather than against the stripe just to get it all in. The buttons were from my stash too, so this was the ultimate stash-busting blouse! I haven’t changed any seams or style lines, all we have done is turn up the deep hem of the sleeve to create a cuff. I used flat fell seams throughout, fine sheer fusible interfacing from Gill Arnold and I double turned the hem.
Stretch cotton stripe, ex-Paul Smith.
