I haven’t been able to catch up on posting projects lately!
I made this dress in about an hour for a pin up photo shoot I did today. I made it using the Retro Butterick ‘47 pattern for the halter style dress. I love the great pin up girl feel of this dress! I saw this fabric at JoAnn’s and immediately knew it was destined to be a crazy dress.
I adapted the pattern a bit by cutting out the lining (it’s wayyyyy to hot out) and instead of cutting four skirt panels, I used two large rectangles of fabric which I pleated to create a skirt I could easily pair with a crinoline.
I already wore it out last night to a burlesque show, and today for a photo shoot!
