Added Dec 18, 2010
This is the 2nd dress of the Candy Cane Dress Collection 2010 that I made for the Princess. She wanted an actual candy cane fabric for the bodice so I went out to a couple of fabric stores and can you believe nothing! I then remembered the shirt I bought for my husband years ago that he did not like and only wore once. It was perfect and of good quality cotton.
The Princess wanted a sweetheart neckline with a halter top back. So I cut up the shirt and made it into a halter top.
It is hard to see but I added two pleats on the bodice for a better fit and I think it added a nice design to the simple bodice.
She likes this dress and the fact that it was once her dads shirt!
