I made this dress from Simplicity pattern 3503. It’s a really great pattern for knits, though I’d suggest going at least 2 sizes down. I went down one size from my normal one because I figured it’d stretch, and the waistband still doesn’t touch my body.
Anyway, I loved the details on the dress, and used a decorative-ish stitch for all of the edges. I was going to upgrade my sewing status from ‘novice’ to ‘intermediate’ about halfway through this dress, but then I made about 10 mistakes in a row and decided it’s too early to declare myself a better sewer just yet! maybe next time :)
Softest jersey ever!

I think I am an expert in my own mind until I finish all my projects and then I realize I just moved up a notch up on novice. I love your dress and I think the color is hot. I just painted my living room a similar color.

ReneeBeth, I think this dress is screaming intermediate! It’s very pretty and well made and such a bold color!
