I’ve been suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome for months now. I’m uninsured and can’t afford surgery. I have been forced to wear medical wrist braces day and night to keep the symptoms in check, and let’s face it, those things are Uuuuug-LY. Steamcon is this weekend, and I knew I didn’t want to wear my ugly braces with my pretty new costume. So instead, I made some new ones! These are the original prototype, and I will be beta-testing them personally over the weekend. If they should prove effective as a treatment device, I will be making them en masse and selling them, in various colors, on Etsy.
Satin brocade with cotton jersey lining, reinforced in between with faux leather. Featherlite boning, grommets, and ribbon.
