Proudest sewing moment to date! This is the Macaron Dress by Colette Patterns. I went for a slim fit so I made the original measurement really snug. The two ends of the waist band didn’t meet during the first fitting (I didn’t merge the waist and bust measurements) but the dress was saved by Colette’s 5/8 seam allowance (which turned into 3/8). I decided I wanted cute capped puff sleeves instead of the longer ones in the pattern and also against a contrast waistband. Overall, I still can’t believe it went this swimmingly!
Retro Telephone fabric by Luli Sanchez for timeless treasures
Up-cycled cream polyester from another dress, really silky and lovely to wear.
