Proudest sewing moment to date! This is the Macaron Dress by Colette Patterns. I went for a slim fit so I made the original measurement really snug. The two ends of the waist band didn’t meet during the first fitting (I didn’t merge the waist and bust measurements) but the dress was saved by Colette’s 5/8 seam allowance (which turned into 3/8). I decided I wanted cute capped puff sleeves instead of the longer ones in the pattern and also against a contrast waistband. Overall, I still can’t believe it went this swimmingly!

I agree that the telephone print is AWESOME, but you did a fantastic job on the Macaron regardless. Lovely and fun dress.

This is really amazingly lovely. I’m kind of iffy on the Macaron, but your version is another point in its favour. Great work! Actually, I think maybe what I like about it is the slim fit, come to think of it. This style doesn’t look good loose.

Please can you tell me where in Brisbane you got this fabric so I can send my friend to go get me some. I LOVE IT. The alteration you did on the sleeves is brilliant, the whole dress is amazing. Everytime I see the macaron done it is so vastly different from the one before it.
