Hickory, North C...
I used McCall’s 5514 (copyright 1975) to make this dress. Yes – I am perpetually stuck in the 1970s! :) The calico cotton fabric with the tiny cherries and daisies is also vintage. After much debate, I decided to add the pockets – I usually leave pockets off – and I’ve ended up loving them! This took about 5 hours from start to finish to complete. I think this dress will make a smooth transition from summer to fall as a layering piece to wear over long sleeved tops and tights.
