I made this skirt in the summer while I was isolated in a cabin in Norway. I suddenly got an itch to sew, took one of my granny’s old tablecloths, found a sewing machine in the cabin (lucky me!) and with barely any notions or sewing supplies and all that shebang I usually have lying in arm’s reach when I sew I cam up with this simple skirt. Two long pieces of fabric sewn together at the sides gathered into a waistband and some old snaps and a button as closure. The hem is the original tablecloth’s hem. No sewing required – very handy. I loved wearing this skirt in the summer, it’s very comfortable and really colorful. Altogether a satisfying project!

I know the skirt from your blog, your story is so touchy – you’re like some Heidi, the girl of the mountains, who can’t help but sew!!! All that being said, I can’t think of a better thing to sew than this indeed so colourful skirt out of an amazing piece of tablecloth! and which part of Norway is that? I’ll send you by message a link to my Nordic adventure, I don’t miss any chance to recall that, even if I menetioned it before:))
