Added May 30, 2013

The second outfit created for the holiday consists of the peasant / Brigitte Bardot top gathered round neck, arms and waist and a self drafted miniskirt.
Both pieces were made from just over a meter of soft summery fabric in geometric print.
The top follows pattern 124 in Burda Style magazine 6/2011, with satin bias binding finishing. The skirt is made from the fabric remnant and started off as a rectangle.
I added lace at the top and 3-4 of of elastic using the shirring technique. It really takes less than an hour o make and there are no zips involved, the skirt can be simply slipped on, over the bikini.
A quick and easy holiday project!
