Button up skirt

Firenze, Italy

So, my doctor said “No more pants for you, girl. You’ll have to wear skirts” and i panicked because it’s not winter but it’s not summer yet, and all the skirts I have are part of summer dresses.
I rushed to find a simple but effective skirt pattern and I found the lovely Helena Skirt.
After wondering a bit if the fabric I had would be suitable for a skirt (I didn’t want to end up with one of those huge circles right on my bottom), I decided it was ok.
For some reason I chose not to make automatic buttonholes, because I was not sure of the result.
I then opted for handmade ones, which turned out really naif :D (they are covered by the buttons, anyway)

(sorry for the wrinkled fabric)

Thanks for your comments! Mixtlii, the medical condition is…the nasty mycosis (so embarrassing!) In winter i have to wear tights too…and there’s no transpiration :\ But, with summer…no tights ^^

great skirt! I have more medical problems with skirts than with pants, because when wearing skirts I usually also have to wear tights… and than the skin can´t breath too well.

The fabric is awesome! I’m really wondering: what medical condition requires you to wear skirts?! ANyway, great job, and the buttonholes looks cute.
