I decided to add some colour to our apartment but I am very new to sewing so thought some blinds would be a good place to start. This project only required straight lines so that made it pretty easy, and helped build my confidence, unfortunately our window is very wide so I had to piece together the fabric to make it wide enough, which meant I had a lot of fabric to handle through the machine. The twill tape covers the join at the centre and two extra for detail. Overall I was really pleased with the finished product…and have now got the sewing bug!

Really cool. Very pretty. I also have a very wide window and I can’t figure out what to do with it. I have bamboo blinds, so some color above will look nice.

I tried to add pictures of what the blind looks like up and down, but they aren’t visable, not sure what I did wrong but it won’t let me edit the project, sorry.
