When I started working on this top, it was meant to be an exercise in pattern drafting and creating button holes. But this muslin turned out to be very wearable! I drafted the kimono style pattern and added fabric covered buttons on the backside. The sateen finish of the fabric makes it a very versatile top: casual with a pair of jeans or dressed up with a skirt and a pair of heels.
I can highly recommend anyone to adapt a basic shirt pattern by putting some bows or buttons on the backside!
