Description

I took the top from Butterick 5429 and the skirt from 5353 to make this dress. It’s a little bigger than it has to be, just because I wanted to be able to pull this on and off without a zipper. I like the roominess, though—a no-fuss option for a warm day.

Check out my blog post about it for more!

Material Notes

Quilting cotton (bodice), lightweight denim (skirt)

great one, the neckline-twist-thing looks really nice and I can totally understand avoiding a zipper ;-) looks great a little more loose, I think

Thanks! I’m glad the neckline twist/knot turned out okay…It was my first time with one.

I like the casual but feminine look of this the top part is especially nice – very simple and feminine….
