Vintage pattern, kimono sleeve gussets, circle skirt at tea length, interesting back detail. I used horsehair braiding on the hem and used a handpicked lapped zipper. I’ve blogged about this beautiful make here

I wanted to ask how do you match the Butterick sizes. I have the B5603 (very similar) that I want to try with a Laura Ashley fabric, but I am not sure which size I need. What will be te correspondent of an UK 10?? Many thanks.

Your best bet is to take your body measurements and see how these match up to the sizing chart on the pattern. I found this pattern to be fairly true to measurements.

This is so nice! The colour, the pattern, everything goes together nicely. The light in your face as reflected by thsi dress is magnificent. There has to be the odd few to give you less than 5 stars. Ah!
