This is a pattern from 1958 with a lovely bow detail at the neckline and waist. I made it out of linen. There were some really interesting construction details on this vintage pattern, including a zipper that was inserted into a dart! See more:

How cute, I love little bows. It’s a bit similar to this Modcloth dress , Zooey Dechanel wore the same one in a last episode of New Girl and I’m dreaming of copying it ever since :)

You’re totally right! And I love the New Girl reference. If you’re looking for a similar modern pattern, I was thinking the Emery Dress by Christine Haynes could work with a bit of customization for the extra trim.

I already have an idea how to modify some basic dress pattern from Burda, I just need the right fabric. In my part of the world finding a monochrome fabric is not easy at all! If you need a print of teapots and bobby pins it’s no problem at all, but plain blue fabric – tough luck.
