Description

This is by far my favourite halloween costume ive ever made! I make my own costume every year and last year this went down really well. If you have a dress pattern you really like then this is a very easy costume to do because you can use the pattern as a basis.

Material Notes

bodice: black polycotton for front and lining, black felt for butterflies
skirt: black polycotton, orange, white and red standard acrylic paint.
headband: butterfly clipart, orange card, strong cardboard, black headband
assembly: sewing machine, hot glue gun

What a great idea!! did you paint on the wing pattern? Did you use leather?

i painted it on with regular acrylic paint, because the fabric was so dark i did it once in white and then went over in the final color. leather or felt might have taken me a lot less time though, great idea!
