Description

This is the birthday present I gave my mum a few weeks ago.

She really wanted a nice new apron after I made one for my brothers girlfriend birthday but to use the pattern of her old well loved holey apron.

I must admit I got a bit carried away fabric shopping! The butterfly fabric came from John Lewis and is from the Cocoon range. The dotty fabric was from the market and I bought pre-made bias binding as this was only my second time using it. I also had a play with piping using string and the bias binding,

I am so pleased with it, I wish I could have kept it for myself!!

Material Notes

Bias tape
1m butterfly cotton
0.5m spotty cotton
String for piping

You did such a professional job! I really love the fabric you used and the bias binding goes very well with it. I’m also having a debate about whether to keep or give away something I made… Painful! ;-)
