Description

This top is made of net jersey which I bought at www.alfatex.de Since it’s rather transparent I made it of dobble layer with black lightweight jersey, so each pcs I lined first before sewing it together. The upper part I have also lined with crocodile jersey, so it’s very comfy to wear. I did sew stitches on the inside around the neck and the cap sleeves. I had to use zipper in the left side and for the hem I had to use vliseline to make it more steady. It’s based on pattern #102 Burda 02/2011. I think it’s really nice to wear it toghether with a black skirt :)

Material Notes

Net jersey and black crocodile jersey for lining.

You have chosen another one of my favourite patterns and again, the fabric you have used makes this so lovely.

Love this colour on you. The green just pops. Love the top! I will give this pattern a try. Really like the side splits too. I have some similar fabric from fabricmartfabrics :) and will try this a little longer for me. thanks Ellen, love all your posts.

Nice to hear Regan – I will love to see yours and I agree it’s a little short to wear for a par of trousers, so if I would make another one I also prefer it 5cm longer :)

Simple yet so elegant! And you can easily dress it up or down depending on the situation. Projects like this are my favorites :)

I must confess that when I see somebody wearing the things I’d love to make myself, I always feel happy because nobody knows when it’s possible to make all those clothes we like and our dream is realised by somebody else!:-)) You look great, Ellen, great fabric, great combination of green hues and black. Very smarty!!!

Nice to hear Oksana ;) and I agree – I feel the same because there is always limited of time for sewing even if I would love to sew more..Thanks for your lovely comments ;-)
