Bustier Bikini Top – BurdaStyle 04/2012 #119
Retro Bikini Bottom – BurdaStyle 05/2013 #132
I was going for a vintage kind of look, and this bikini has a possibly 60’s look. It was interesting piecing the bustier panels together and using boning for the first time. The bottoms are patterned on the Retro Bikini set (- which I want to make next, lol!)… except that I forgot to make seam allowances for them, if you can tell, lol! Btw don’t tell anyone but I was low on fabric, so I had to cut the front of the bottoms on the opposite grain ;)
Light weight woven cotton floral print sarong, woven/sew-in boning, hook and loop tape, elastic lace, elastic.
