Step 1 Preparation + Cutting Out

101a_techdwg_6884_0_large

Bodice: The pattern download is solely the print out the bodice. Tape together and cut out your respective size. Shave off about 1" from the pointed top of the bodice with a French curve for a softer, curved look.

Seam and hem allowances (not included in pattern): Add 1.5 cm (5/8") to outer edges of bodice pattern pieces.

Spaghetti Straps: The original pattern is strapless, we added straps to secure the dress fits nicely and doesn’t sag. Draft a rectangle on pattern paper of 14″ × 1″. Fold in half lengthwise. This is your strap piece with 1/4" seam allowance included.

Cutting Out:
Cotton Voile (or similar):
1 centre front, on a fold 1x
2 side front 2x
3 centre back, on a fold 1x
4 side back 2x
Spaghetti Straps 2x

Lining:
1 centre front, on a fold 1x
2 side front 2x
3 centre back, on a fold 1x
4 side back 2x

Skirt Panel (this is simply a rectangle of fabric, gathered at the top and attached to bodice):
Measure how long you would like your skirt to be, from the bottom of the bodice to the hem. Fold your fabric in half (that will be the width, we used 55" wide fabric) and measure down to your desired length + seam allowance.
