I love the picture of Jean Shrimpton at the Races in her shift dress and no stockings (shock, horror, gasp!!!), so the Jamie Shift Dress wins for me :)
This is a version with a round neckline and slightly flared body, i have worn it twice and love the simplicity of the style, counterbalanced with the slightly fussy (but lovely fabric).
The fabric is a slightly stiff (white base) pure cotton with a set of ruffles sewn width-wise across it to form a stripey pattern, love it!

Ooh! Wish I’d taken the pix when I actually finished the dress!
Thanks for contacting me :)

OMG! I thought you had used a rag-quilting technique to make this fabric and how crazy-original that is! LOL
That fabric is to die for, doll, and the dress looks super comfy. I bet it’s cool and fresh. Lovely.

Perrfect on a 40-plus day! Yeah, I cheated, the fabric was really expensive and I wouldn’t have bought it if it wasn’t 50% off, all that labour costs money :)

Thanks Mary, not really expecting anything and didn’t make it for the comp but thought I’d throw my hat in on the off-chance!
