This is the first project I’ve uploaded to Burda Style that I’m proud of. I used the pattern Jamie Shift Dress from the Sewing Vintage Modern book from BurdaStyle. Jamie Shift Dress . I created a peter pan collar around the neckline and a small band of contrasting fabric at the hem. It reminds me very much of Twiggy. I then got a bit creative and attached a chain with two buttons on the front of the collar just to give it something interesting and unique. I LOVE how it came out! I used a polyester crepe de chine and underlined it with peachskin to give it a bit of stability.
This was also the very first time I had ever put in an invisible zipper and I am in love. I am much better at those than I am traditional zippers. They are my new best friend!
2 yds Crepe de Chine, 2 yds. Peachskin, invisible zipper, two metal buttons, small chain.

are a great vintage flair! I totally agree about the zipper! After the first time I did an invisable zipper I have not looked back, I always use and invisable zipper now! Your zipper turned out great and your dress is fabulous, congratulations! You should be very proud of this project :)
