Ok. So I went a little crazy and I decided to make a white satin dress. (perfect for a summer wedding!) I thought it would be fabulous to base my design on the Elizabeth Gathered-Waist Dress and make a dress that can be fully functional anywhere, not just down the isle. I dropped myself into several situations to demonstrate this. It can be worn as a truly 50s inspired dress, or with a leather jacket for evening, as a wedding dress, on a stroll in the summertime, and it fits right in in both the retro style and the modern style of architecture and areas. I love my little cut out detail in the front and I added a tie that can be in a front or back bow, or just wrapped several times and tucked in for a sleeker look. I was going for some major versatility. This contest is all about who can make vintage modern again the best, and who can keep the essence of the era while still staying up to date and I think my cutout front white gathered waist dress does just that. I paired it with nude peep toe canvas wedges, black heels, a black leather jacket, and shocking red lipstick and vivid blue eyeliner for a retro-modern feel. Enjoy!
This dress is made from ivory satin with poly satin lining. Fully lined and under stitched with ivory zipper back.

I like the dress a lot (I think it would be stunning in red too…) and I really love your presentation! Unfortunately I’m to late to vote for your dress, but just wanted to say: job well done!
