Having this idea about the Piet Mondrian style dress for a while and the perfect pattern came up for it. Thanks Burdastyle!:-)
I used left behind pieces of different coloured satin and satin ribbons with different widths.I cut out the middle part of the front from the pattern and had a layer cut in one piece, then topstiched the coloured pieces and ribbons over it. Then added the side panels with the darts done upfront.
The invisible zip was added on the back, since this is a loose fit dress, so that looks nice this way…
I am neither a make up expert or a photo-guru so that is my begginer-styling trial with the starburst picture. Tried to recriate a bit of Twiggy-look with some psychedelic background:-) Pretty much a begginer’s attempt but i hope the effort is appreciated:-)
Thanks for giving me the motivation to finish this project. That is my first time to participate in a competition.
Good luck to everyone!
