This is my entry for BurdaStyle Sewing Vintage Modern Contest 2013
Option Three: Create your own variations projects ,using one or more master pattern(s) ,and/or variations project(s) from the BurdaStyle sewing Vintage Modern Book .
I love this 50s style.
The dress is made from large check taffeta fabric ,and is fully lined with one layer netting that give the skirt extra volume.
My dress insted gathered waist got pleated skirt ,that I think works well with large check .
Neck line is finished in oval ,and upper bodice is made from fabric cut on bias .
I dress up my garment with chiffon sach ,but will look good with any matching belts in waist .
