I made this dress for my four years old girl based on the Louisa Drop-Waist Dress pattern. I changed the skirt section to a pleated one. I hope you can see in the photos that I tried to match the bodice seams with the pleats (I don’t know why, but it was really important for me to do that). I also added a ribbon to the neckline and to where the skirt begins, and put two little bows, one in the left side of the front and one in the upper back, closing the neckline where the zipper ends. As this dress was made from a fine wool fabric, I lined the bodice too.
wool, grosgrain ribbon

Thanks!! As I explained above, for me it was very important to match the pleats with the bodice seams, and I’m very happy with the result. Everytime she wears it she gets a lot of compliments, so both of us are happy :)! I bought the fabric as a ‘final end’ and I’m using what was left in a dress for myself (I hope to post the project soon, right now I’m assembling the lining).

Very cute and great job adapting the pattern for a child. I love the pleating. The quality in construction is, IMO, in the details, so paying attention to matching the bodice seams with the pleats is a very nice touch.
