Tank Top – BurdaStyle 3/2012 #119a
Hi, I’m Nadia. Apart from a couple of Kanzashi flowers I made last year in Indonesian batik fabric (BurdaStyle 2011), I have just tried sewing my first patterned BurdaStyle garment. I stitched this tank top using an untouched early ’70’s fabric remnant that I found in my vintage stash but didn’t know what to do with. Check out the groovy couple on the print, lol! I omitted to add the bow which obviously wouldn’t go with the style of fabric. The updated pattern really transforms the vintage fabric nicely. I am enjoying learning to sew on a machine and reading Burda Style. Btw, not being vain but all my pics here on BurdaStyle are of me, lol, the bottom pic here was taken in Jan ’12.
