My take one on the deservedly popular Burda 7494, made up in an underlined linen/rayon blend by Maggy London.
I have a kind of funny story about this one. Any seamstress who has made this dress has probably noticed the butt box pleats that are its one serious downfall. I did make a muslin for this dress and consequently modified them slightly. Nonethless, I initially found the effect on the finished dress somewhat disconcerting. Because the front was so cute, though, I eagerly wore the dress out as soon as I finished it.
Now, I live in Toorak, an ‘old money’ suburb of Melbourne full of rich old people. Imagine my surprise when, walking down the main street in my brand new dress, a young man yells out of his car window at me -: “THAT IS THE BIGGEST BOOTY I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!”
After a few washings the fabric has loosened up a little and the effect has diminished. And regardless, I love this dress! But if you are already at all bootylicious I would perhaps recommend substituting the back skirt lining pieces for the skirt back, as I have for subsequent versions.

heelarious! haha. Thanks for the heads up; I’m planning on making this, and I will substitute the back lining piece for the back when I do!

Ho it’s a shame for the “butt effect” because all the rest is wonderful and really pretty!
