Aha! Now I get it, the other version of this skirt has a zipper down the front of the yoke! It is the one made from two different fabrics.

I am not near the magazine, (I’m at work), but if I recall correctly, in the magazine, it is made of two different fabrics. The yoke is made out of a fabric that has a bit of stretch (knit, spandex, etc.) and the skirt is made from a different color non-stretch fabric, (twill, wool, etc.) I suppose that is how it can be made without a zipper, but the directions do have a zipper. I thought about making this myself, but never thought not to add a zipper.

instructions call for zipper placement. a bit of a letdown! cute skirt, though.

I’m a little confused—how is this a “skirt without zipper”? How does it fasten?! The line drawing shows a side zipper, but the only material listed in the instructions is wool [fabric].
