When I first noticed the fabric I immediately new I liked it. The thing I didn’t expect was that it was so hard to handle. First, it has irregular square pattern: it means that I had to cut it in one layer trying my best to match the colour scheme. Second, it cost me 4(!) broken needles and several evenings of hand sewing.
The skirt is lined, all the seams are finished with bias tape, invisible zipper (second time in my life).
The pattern is based on 8/2011 126A.

The fabric is, as you say, stunning! Well worth the effort with the broken needles and time spent with a needle and thread in hand. It’s gorgeous.
