burda style 7125 Blouse

Chemainus, Canada

I made this top out of 4-way stretch, as it was intended to wear not tucked in. My daughter has also styled it wearing a belt.

The instructions are good, and the pattern pieces fit together nicely. I did not make the front darts, instead I gathered the area. It made for a nice fit on her, and it was easier to do. I used a solid lycra knit to make binding for the neck edge.

Thanks. I’m hoping there is enough fabric left that I can make a top for me; however, I’ll use a pattern that I know looks okay on me. :-)

Very pretty blouse and fabric is lovely – and I like the black binding in the neck – great job Rita :-)

Thank you. I almost changed the black binding to shiny black, but she said she liked it out of the flat.

Thanks Mary. She has a whole ‘list’ of things for me to make, including a cocktail dress for New Years. This top was supposed to be for me, but it looked horrible on me. So she has benefited! :-)
