This dress was made using Burda pattern 126 from August 2011 issue. It looks like separate blouse and skirt but it’s really all one piece. I saw the pattern and knew I had to use the leftovers from previous projects to make it.

It was easy to make and I know it will be suitable for the office.

Material Notes

1/2 yard of rayon for blouse, 1 yard of wool blend for skirt, 14 in zipper and three sew on snaps.

I don’t remember seeing this in the magazine, which means it couldn’t have looked that interesting. But your version looks very interesting. Great choice of materials, I like the idea of the 2 different materials which make it look like a skirt and blouse ! Might have to go through the magazine again and maybe give it a try myself. Good job !

Thank you. That’s very encouraging! You will see it’s a pretty easy pattern. The one thing I did alter was the plunging v neck that was shown in the magazine. I’m on the modest end of things.
