I made the simple Anda Dress pattern with a lovely matt stripey satin (bargain from Abakhan UK), I used elastic instead of the casing as I am pregnant and wanted some nice alternative maternity wear.
I used a size bigger but measured the elastic to gently fit around the top of my bump – lots of room for growing :)
I used french seams to finish the dress neatly inside ( I would normally overlock but this fabric was a bit slippy and slidey) and made simple bias binding from the same fabric to finish the neck and arms.
striped satin from Abakhan Fabrics (UK)
