Burda Style For people who sew
Description
A fitted blouse with a shawl collar, curved front hem and optional sleeves. I have made it twice, both times with sleeves. It requires a precise fit in the bust and shoulders, and the front neck plunge is too deep for my liking so getting this blouse right required a lot of tweaking. I had to lower the points of the front darts and raise the height of the plunge by folding the tissue horizontally across the front and adding extra length elsewhere to compensate.
Material Notes
Both examples are in cotton: black and white crisp poplin (possibly Swiss?) from Clegs, and tropical floral print poplin from Spotlight.
