I bought this “jersey” fabric too long ago, and had it with my “for sale” stash, but nobody
wanted it, so I placed it back on my stash. Now that it is winter in South Africa, I started
looking for tops I can make. and Burda 8028 caught my attention. I thought this black jersey
fabric would work. BUT this pattern called for stretch knit fabric, and my fabric had no
stretch in it. I first traced size 10 and then found it would definitely not work in a non-stretch.
Then I traced size 16 and made the complete top in calico to test. It worked. finally
yesterday I made the top. It is really nice and warm. The collars instructions was a bit
confusing in the beginning, but it works out fine to follow the instructions, then just fold the
back of the collar and the “twist” appears.
