Cape Town, South...
I bought this “jersey” fabric too long ago, and had it with my “for sale” stash, but nobody
wanted it, so I placed it back on my stash. Now that it is winter in South Africa, I started
looking for tops I can make. and Burda 8028 caught my attention. I thought this black jersey
fabric would work. BUT this pattern called for stretch knit fabric, and my fabric had no
stretch in it. I first traced size 10 and then found it would definitely not work in a non-stretch.
Then I traced size 16 and made the complete top in calico to test. It worked. finally
yesterday I made the top. It is really nice and warm. The collars instructions was a bit
confusing in the beginning, but it works out fine to follow the instructions, then just fold the
back of the collar and the “twist” appears.
What do you think of these summery styles?
