Burda Style For people who sew
Description
Culottes (divided skirt) for casual summer wear. I moved the zip from the centre front to the left-hand side, which I prefer as it is easier to instal and avoids adding bulk to my stomach. I should have added 1 or 2cm to the rise to improve the fit as I am slightly taller than Burda’s ideal height of 5 feet 6 inches. To ensure that my knees were covered, I added 5cm length at the hems. Generally, this garment has been a success and is good to wear in hot weather.
Material Notes
The fabric is a cotton-linen blend with a tan check; purchased from Darn Cheap Fabrics.
