Burda 2597 fleece jacket made using Polartec 200 fabric.

Birmingham , Uni...

I was feed up with always feeling cold so I bought some polartec 200 fabric to make a jacket. The pattern for long sleeves has not long zip so I followed the gilet version plus sleeves.
Not an easy fabric to use as it it quite thick and my sewing machine is not very happy. I was vey surprised to finish it and not to have too many headaches. Enough fabric left to make the gilet model C. So let’s see.
I am not sure why the pockets look smaller that the picture… Not too fuss!
Colour of the photos changes with the light it is RAF blue

Your jacket looks nice on you. And I know that fabric isn’t easy to work with!

Thanks Rita for your kind words! I had to persevere because the thread kept breaking! I had some extra fabric left so I made a gilet ;)

Such jackets are always look and combines well with other clothers and they are practical. I think it is a must-have in any wardrobe. And I like the colour you chose.
